Welcome! 

I'm Jess, Jessie, or sometimes even Jessica (but only if you're angry with me... and I hope that is never).

I am a (not-so) newlywed in my mid-twenties and a part-time stay at home mama to a handsome little guy and two fur babies. I may not be the stereotypical "crunchy mom" but you might be surprised by what lies beneath the surface. Breastfeeding, babywearing, cloth diapering, and co-sleeping are the norm in our household. While I work out of the home about 15 hours a week, I still have plenty of time to clean, cook, craft, and care for my family. I have big hopes that our future will include homemade baby food and lots more DIY items for my mini man.  

Spool and Spoon is my happy place. It's this little slice of the interwebs where I can describe my latest adventures in motherhood, share details on a fun craft and gush about my favorite recipes. Aside from journeying through parenthood together, the hubby and I are knee deep in DIY renovations, updating our second home: a mid-century rancher. Occasionally, you'll find me sharing some little highlights from the Rancher Remodel.

All of the hassles of being a grown up sometimes get in the way of the things I adore, but I manage to squeeze in some playtime whenever I can. Everyone needs an outlet and Spool and Spoon is mine. I look forward to sharing all of the little things I do and I hope you get inspired to try some projects along the way, too.
