"There's GNOME Place Like Home" Wreath

I specifically made the Mini Felt Gnomes with a Spring wreath in mind... would you believe that I still had my Framed Valentine's Day Wreath on the front door?! I love me some big ole wreathes. What can I say? I like big wreaths and I cannot lie; you other bloggers can't deny. Tee hee. Seriously though, one of the things that makes no sense to me are "wreaths" that are the size of candle rings. If you are going to take the time to put something pretty on your door, you might as well be able to see it from the street without binoculars. The new wreath is just what we needed to greet us everyday... afterall, there really is gnome place like home!

I just love how it turned out! What do you think? There is no real tutorial needed because I sort of wung it and you could & should, too!

If you really want instructions, I'm happy to oblige, though! First, make a layer of "moss" out of olive green pom-poms and glue them onto a grapevine wreath. Then tuck blossoms, berry springs, and small pieces of greenery into the vines and moss. Glue on the cutest little gnomes you ever did see and call it a day.

I had considered hanging a little welcome banner to the wreath, but I really liked how organic the whole thing felt. It didn't seem natural to add any bows or pennants when I was finished, so I didn't. Then again, to each his own. I really think it's the perfect non-committal wreath - just enough nature to feel like Spring but not so much whereas I couldn't keep it up through the Fall if I wanted.
