Meet Me Under the Mistletoe - Felt Christmas Wreath

Every year we hang an artificial mistletoe kissing ball that I scored on clearance at Target several years ago. I love it to pieces and wish we had more doorways in the house to hang lots of mistletoe all over. Simply put, I've been mad about mistletoe lately. If you've seen any of my recent pins on my Christmas board, you probably made that assumption already. I took my little infatuation to the next level with this year's winter wreath... a Felt Mistletoe Wreath that I'll be referring to as my "Meet Me Under the Mistletoe" Wreath. #swoon

There are several felt mistletoe wreaths available online like this one from Olive and Cocoa for $128 (ouch!) and this one from The Century House for $70 (wowzers). But let's be real, Christmas is only a couple of weeks away and spending more than $20 is not really my taste. Going DIY was an easy decision.

If you'd like to create your own, grab some felt and a wreath form and let's get cranking!

DIY Mini Felt Gnomes

Last week on Instagram, you probably noticed a few nods to gnome culture. It's probably got something to do with my fascination with all woodland things but I adore those little guys. I looked everywhere for miniature gnomes but besides ordering them online (which I don't have the patience for when I'm crafting), I decided to create my own.

These gnomes were born from materials that just about any craftaholic would have on hand: felt, yarn, a toilet paper roll, and a pompom.

How To: Perfect Felt Bow {no sew!}

I finally wrapped a present. Yes, *one* present. Later tonight I'll wrap all of them but until then, I wanted to share project number twenty-three of The 25 Projects of Christmas: a tutorial for how to make the perfect felt bow. This can be used as a super simple gift topper, a brooch, or a hair accessory.

All you need is a small scrap of felt (double the width of the size bow you want) and a glue gun. I think we can all manage those few things.

Tutorial: Felted Acorn Garland

As you may have guessed, I'm spending the weekend on the couch while recuperating. It's a bit disappointing because I would have preferred to be at the pumpkin patch or a haunted house or two but you gotta do what you gotta do. At least I can share some Autumn goodness with you through this festive garland.

How darling are those little felted acorns?
