A Valentine's Day Garland // Heart and Arrow Banner
MATERIALS:
Patterned paper (two sided is ideal), cut into chevron shapes and triangles
Glittered paper, cut into hearts
Paper straws
Tape
Twine
METHOD:
Step 1: Tape two of the V shaped pieces to one end of the straw. Tape the triangle arrowhead to the other end.
When you flip it over, the arrow should look like this:
Step 2: Make an even number of arrows and an odd number of hearts
Step 3: Either punch two holes in the hearts or do as I did and attach scraps to the reverse of the hearts.
Step 4: Thread the twine through the hearts and arrows (through the straw portion) and hang it wherever you need some extra pizzazz. This banner with four straws and five hearts was over 6 feet long!
THE DETAILS:
I'm thinking that I'll probably hang this over the mantle now that I finally took down *all* of the Christmas stuff (whoops!).
